This policy explains what data the mobile game Off the Books (Android package
com.brickagent.app, iOS bundle com.brickagent.app) handles, and why. In short: the game
has no accounts, keeps your progress on your device, and uses two third-party services, one to show optional ads and
one to process in-app purchases.
What the game itself collects
Nothing. There is no sign-up, no login and no account. Your progress, settings and purchases are saved only on your device. We don’t run our own servers for the game and we don’t receive your progress or any personal information.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Free players can choose to watch a short rewarded ad to get a hint or an undo. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google may collect and process:
- your device’s advertising identifier (Android advertising ID, or Apple’s IDFA if you allow tracking) and app set ID;
- your approximate location, worked out from your IP address;
- information about your device and the app, and how you interact with ads;
- crash and diagnostic data from the ads SDK.
Google uses this to show ads, measure them, and prevent fraud. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland) the game asks for your consent through Google’s consent form before any personalised ads are shown, and on iOS the game asks for App Tracking Transparency permission. Declining changes nothing in the game. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google’s privacy policy.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device settings (Android: Settings › Privacy › Ads; iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking).
Purchases (Google Play, the App Store and RevenueCat)
The one-time Full Game and Full Game Plus purchases are paid through Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see your name, email or payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your purchase is valid and to restore it. RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and an anonymous, random app user ID created on your device, plus basic device and app information. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. If you open the trailer, it plays from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube’s own policy applies to that player.
Children
Off the Books is made for players aged 13 and over and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the game and data about them was collected through the services above, contact us and we’ll help you have it deleted.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the game deletes your progress from your device. To have RevenueCat’s anonymous purchase record deleted, email us and we’ll ask RevenueCat to delete it. Data held by Google can be managed in your Google account and device settings.
